Alessie, Yom Tov

Son of David and Esther. Born in the city of Tikab in 1939. He studied in a “cheder” called “synagogue” and immigrated to Israel in 1950. During his free time he worked as a volunteer at Hapoel, and was drafted into the IDF in early February 1962, . After his release he worked as a driver in the Jerusalem Municipality. On 20 Tammuz 5762 (20.6.1972) Tarsh Yom Tov fell in the line of duty. He left a wife and three children. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
