Alakreif, Amram
Son of Sa’ada and Eliyahu. Amram was born in Morocco on February 28, 1958. He was the seventh son in a family of eleven. Amram attended an elementary school in Morocco. In 1972, when he was fifteen, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Nahariya. In his spare time, Amram loved the practice of fishing and sports. He liked to care for animals and was very sensitive to any harm to animals. In February 1976, Amram joined the Border Police, where he underwent a course for recruits and was assigned to an operational service in Company T in the Jerusalem area. Amram was killed in the course of his duty on 26 Tevet (15.1.1977) in an arms accident. He was nineteen years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by parents, brothers and sisters. Amram is commemorated at Beit Yad Lebanim in Nahariya, at the Border Police memorial at the Iron Junction and at the police monument in Kiryat Ata.
