Al-Atrash, Ibrahim

Son of Kaida and Aqel. Born on November 17, 1986 at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. Ibrahim volunteered for IDF service and began recruitment procedures before he turned eighteen. Ibrahim loved the army very much. On December 2, 2004, he joined the Bedouin patrol battalion in the Southern Command. On January 27, 2008, Ibrahim volunteered to serve in the regular army of the Bedouin reconnaissance battalion stationed at the Gaza-Egypt border. On August 25, 2010, Ibrahim, who loved to travel, went out to spend time with his friends on the Palmahim beach. He drifted deep into the sea. Ibrahim’s body was found in the sea, off the coast of Bat Yam, on August 27, 2010, Ibrahim al-Atrash was killed during service on August 25, 2010. He left behind a wife and three children. After his death he was promoted to the rank of senior sergeant.
