Akerman, Yehuda (Gingi)


Yehuda was born on February 25, 1947, in the city of Debrecen, Hungary, where he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1957. The family chose to settle in Ramle, where Judah also studied at the school. Yehuda was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early November 1964 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed basic training in the Armored Corps and completed his army service as a tank gunner. Yehuda brought him one of the musical instruments, where he played well, and organized Simcha parties, accompanied by singing and dancing, and as a soldier and a soldier, his commanders sent him to a class commanders course and he successfully completed it. And his commanders soon learned to know He later completed a tank commander course and was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and at the end of his regular service, Yehuda was released and soon married his girlfriend Yardena and set up a house with her. In Ramle, he continued his social activities and succeeded in developing a prosperous business that ensured a fair and healthy existence for the couple, and in 1969 their daughter Liat was born and two years later their son Avinoam was born.He was found to be a devoted and faithful husband and a loving and benevolent father, who was very attached to his family. During the Yom Kippur War, Yehuda took part in the battles against the Syrians in the Golan Heights. On the 19th of Tishrei 5740 (19.10.1973), in the course of the assault on Tel Antar, his tank was hit and he was killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ramle. He left behind a wife, a daughter and a son, a mother and a sister. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
