Ahrenstein, Zvi (Harry)


Son of Chaya and Shlomo, was born on the 27th of Adar, March 26, 1925 in Baden, Austria. He was born into a family of religious workers and was educated in the spirit of Zionism and tradition. When his parents arrived in Israel and he was forced to support them, and worked for a while polishing diamonds. At 16 years old, Zvi joined the Haganah, participated in the training, continue to fight, transporting weapons, and with the UN Declaration on -29.11.1947 volunteered full service. Zvi was devoted and loving. He served in ” Alexandroni Brigade” and fought in the Tel Aviv area during Operation Chametz for the occupation of Kfar Saba Arabic Tantoura and Qaqun. In operation “Dani” operation on the front of the center he participated in the conquest of Wilhelma and in the attack on the Deir Tarif strongholds captured by the Legion. He
fell on the 5th of tamuz, July 12, 1948. Zvi was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya.
