Ahliab, Zohar (Zorek)

Son of Leah and Meir, was born on May 7, 1928 in Tel Aviv and acquired a high school education. Was a devoted son to his parents and always cared for them. When the war broke out, he joined the Givati ​​Brigade and after a training period was sent to the detached kibbutz of Gat. On March 13 a convoy of 12 vehicles was organized to break through the road and bring supplies to Gat and Galaon. The convoy passed through the villages of Iraq-Suwaidan and Faluja and advanced towards its destination. At the same time, a platoon from the platoon, which Zorek was a machine gunner, set out to block the reinforcement of enemy reinforcements from Iraq to Manshiyya. In this battle, on March 13, 1948, a bullet that pierced his forehead failed to see the caravan entering the winepress through the open gate, with supplies, reinforcements and encouragement for the fighters, and was buried on Kibbutz Gat.
