Aharon, Moshe (Moishele)


Moshe (Moishele), son of Shoshana and Shimon, was born on 18.11.1950 in Givat Brenner, where he studied in the elementary school in the kibbutz and after completing his studies in high school. Moshe was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of August 1970 and assigned to the Armored Corps. Thanks to his great strength and great endurance, he was known by his friends as “the symbol of health.” He was a good and disciplined soldier and he fulfilled his duties with devotion. On the 22nd of Tishrei 5734 (18.10.1973) he fell in the battle beyond the Suez Canal. His tank was hit directly and continued to move in flames until it exploded. Moshe was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery at Givat Brenner. Survived by a father, mother and three brothers and a sister. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
