Agmon, Uri


Uri, son of Naomi and Daniel (Danny) was born on 28.4.1953 in Kibbutz Ein Harod. He attended elementary school and high school in his kibbutz and excelled in his studies. He was a book lover and read a lot and was awake and interested in what was going on around him. Besides studying and reading, he liked to travel and every Shabbat he would take a walk around the kibbutz. Eventually he joined the circle of the country and there he acquired many friends from the farms, who were also “crazy” for trips. He was curious and ambitious and had many hobbies, which he dealt with himself and the small family. His friends say that his room was similar to a small museum composed of different corners, each devoted to a different topic. There were collections of stamps, antique coins, key chains, stones and fossils, seashells and “thorns.” In the course of time he cultivated a special love for photography and took photographs and developed his own photographs of the landscapes and sights of the country. He was a nice lad, a good and devoted friend, and loved by everyone he knew. He loved beauty and colorfulness, and after graduating from high school, he went to an early year of service in Beit Guvrin where he worked in gardening and gardening and gardening. Uri was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-November 1972 and was assigned to the Intelligence Corps, where he completed professional training in the Air Force and was sent to serve in one of the IDF units in the south, where he served as a student and gained the esteem of his friends and commanders. On October 8, 1973, Uri was killed and killed in a battle against an ambush of Egyptian soldiers, who was considered missing for a long time, and only six months later his family was notified He was brought to rest in the cemetery at Kibbutz Ein Harod And published a pamphlet in memory of the members of his kibbutz who fell in the Yom Kippur War, with the words of friends about his character.
