Agmon, Ruth


Ruth bat Avraham and Yael. She was born on the 13th of Tishrai, October 8, 1957 in Tel Aviv. She volunteered to in the Magen David Adom branch in Tel Aviv and volunteered in a child care program in south Tel Aviv. She loved the flora and fauna and volunteered in the nature reserve, caring for birds affected by poisoning. At the same time she worked at a youth club in Kiryat Shmona, helping young people in poor neighborhoods. Ruth was a loyal and devoted daughter to her parents. Ruth enlisted in the IDF in March 1976. After basic training, she was sent to the engineering unit in the center of Sinai, and despite the warm and pleasant atmosphere that prevailed in her unit, Ruth missed the Galilee and Golan Heights and asked to move to serve in a unit in northern Israel. On the 6th of Iyar, May 6th, 1976, Ruth fell during her service. She was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. She left behind her parents and brother.
