Meir wanted to break through the framework of the means in which he grew up and believed that his natural talents would help him pave a path in life. He has invested heavily in self-development. He had never had a guiding hand to guide him in his lonely way, so different from the worldview of the rest of the neighborhood. Meir had an evening voice, and as a member of a religious family he used to sing cantorial songs, but this talent also remained immature without guidance and direction. Meir did not usually make friends with his friends, his peers. Was shy and proud, and these two traits kept him away from a busy social life. He preferred to be alone in his room with the books. At the beginning of November 1975, Meir was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he was transferred to the Armored Corps, a tank driver course, and his commanders evaluated him as a quiet and introverted soldier who did his work efficiently and with dedication. ) Meir fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He was 20 years old. Survived by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “I must point out that throughout his service in the unit, Meir excelled in internal discipline and high morals, fulfilled all his duties to the full satisfaction of his commanders and was able to establish positive relations with his friends. In his memory, the family donated holy books and parochet to the “Samuel the Prophet” synagogue in Jerusalem.
