Afuta, Ohad


Born on 26.1.1977 in Ashkelon, the youngest of seven children in the family, a younger brother to Cecil, Tali, Ronen and Eitan, and a brother of Lavi and Eliran Ohad began his studies at Harel Elementary School In Ashkelon, where he studied until the eighth grade, where he continued his studies at the Ort Adivi High School in Ashkelon, specializing in mechanical maintenance, and graduated with honors, during which he volunteered for the Civil Guard and the Shapira Community Center. Ohad was very talented in many areas. He was gifted with outstanding graphic talent and left behind a collection of beautiful and special paintings. He also had a clear technical talent, and everything that required technical knowledge was quickly resolved. At the age of seventeen, he made a complete motorcycle from the childhood of broken motorcycles. Aside from cars and motorcycles, he liked a tour fan, animals and music. At the beginning of August 1995, Ohad joined the IDF and was stationed at the base of the Field Forces Command, and on August 17, 1997, Ohad fell in a car accident while driving a civilian vehicle on the Ashkelon-Kiryat Gat road. Was sent to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon and left behind his parents and six brothers and sisters in a condolence letter to IDF Chief of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak to the bereaved family: “Ohad was described by his commanders as a soldier An expression of energy, full of vigor and joy of life, that stood out in his smile and sense of humor. “
