Afric, Shaul


Shaul, son of Adina and Abraham, was born on August 10, 1953 in Be’er Sheva Shaul was drafted into the IDF in November 1971 and was assigned to the Armored Corps. A short while later he completed an officer’s course. He completed his officers ‘course with excellent grades and was assigned to one of the famous units in the Armored Corps, after he was recommended to instruct at the officers’ school. Among his commanders and comrades, he learned that perhaps as an excellent officer, he would be friendly and easy. He was very devoted to his subordinates and at the same time was meticulous in carrying out the tasks he had assigned them. His subordinates respected him and saw him as a good commander and loyal friend. Who had been in the house for many years during his army service, kept in touch with his family and friends and used to write and tell them proudly about his life in the army. The Egyptians at the Sinai front and fell in battle against Egyptian commando cells on October 14, 1973. He was brought to the eternal rest of the cemetery in Beer Sheva, leaving behind his parents, brother and sister.
