Admoni, Yaakov

Yaakov, son of Gavriel and Sarah Admoni, was born on May 14, 1947 in Petah Tikva. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1965, and after completing basic training, he served as a tank gunner, completing a course for armored instructors as an outstanding trainee who served as a guide. At the beginning of the Six-Day War, on the first day of the battles, on 26 Iyar 5727 (5.6.1967), he fell in a battle in Rafah trying to extinguish the flames in which a tank he jumped from exploded. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and later transferred to the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
