Adler, Israel-Aryeh


Aryeh, son of Henia and Rafael, was born on 28 March 1946 in Kfar Saba. He studied at the Bar-Ilan religious public school in Kfar Saba and continued his studies at the ORT vocational high school. He was a member of the Bnei Akiva religious youth movement and was also active in sports – especially in soccer. He was a friendly, cheerful, smiling boy who loved parties and trips with his many friends. Arieh was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1964 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed his studies in the Armored Corps School of Armored Corps, after graduating from regular army service. He was miraculously saved when he was stuck with his tank without water and without food after being hit by a shell, and his commanders admired him as an outstanding and beloved tank crew member, and was trained as a teacher and was offered to be a member of the team that was supposed to set up a new electronics factory Aryeh was sent to a two – year training course in the United States He returned and ran a department for the manufacture of fine electronics parts at the Colso factory. For his dedicated work, he received praise, certificates of appreciation and prizes. At the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, Aryeh was called to his unit, sent to the Golan Heights and participated in the braking battles. On the 7th of Tishrei 5734 (October 7, 1973), Corporal Arieh fell in battle and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kfar Saba.
