Adin, Michael


Son of Rivka and Shlomo. He was born in 1901 in Grodno, Poland, where he attended elementary school and Gymnasium and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1919. He worked in agriculture and was one of the founders of Karkur and the “Gesher” group in the Jordan Valley, and a few years later the family moved to Moshav Mahanaim, near Rosh Pina, where the founders abandoned the place. He was also a member of the “Hashomer” association. On 10 Av, July 26, 1939, while processing his citrus grove on the Jordan coast, he was shot in the back at close range and killed. He was brought to rest in Menachemiah. He left a wife and three children, brothers and sisters. His memory was immortalized in the book “Menahemiah, 60”. Haaretz and Davar published lists in his memory.
