Adar, Moshe


Moshe ben Rachel and Joseph was born in Morocco on the 24th of Sivan, July 1, 1948. He immigrated to Israel in 1957 with his mother and brother Moshe enlisted in the IDF in September 1966. He was drafted to the paratroopers, completed a parachuting course and a course from the intelligence services and successfully completed a three-year exemplary service. At the end of his military service, Moshe enlisted in the Border Police and served as a team commander in Safed. He moved to Border Police units in Nazareth, Ramle and Lod, where he served in the Beit Shean Valley in 1972, guarding the Syrian and Jordanian borders . In November 1975, Moshe married his wife Dina. In September 1976, his only son Yossi was born. On May 28th, on the way to the army base, Moshe collapsed and was rushed to Haemek Hospital in Afula, where he died two days later, onthe 25th of Iyar, May 31, 1978. Sergeant Moshe was thirty years old. He was buried in the cemetery in Beit She’an. Moshe left behind a wife and a son.
