Ackerman, Israel


Son of Jacob (HaKohen) and Rachel. He was born on June 17, 1962 in the Czech Republic. He immigrated to Israel in 1945. Upon his arrival, he joined the ranks of the Haganah and worked to protect the Yishuv in pre-state times, and was drafted into the IDF in March 1948 and participated in the War of Independence in various capacities. At the end of August 1949, Israel was released from regular service. He settled in Moshav Beit Lehem Haglilit and became a land worker. From time to time he was called up for reserve duty in the Engineering Corps, and during the course of the corps he took a course in command and training courses and was ordained as a terrorist, and during the years he was born with two sons and a daughter. The signals of the campaign were finally placed in the Haganah. At the end of August 1975, Israel was called up for active reserve duty. On September 26, 1975, Israel fell in the line of duty. Was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in the Bethlehem of Galilee. He left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter.
