Achlufi, Simcha


Daughter of Yona and Yitzhak, was born on December 15, 1924 in Jerusalem. At an early age, she assumed responsibility and the burden of caring for the family. All her days she worked and worked hard, but she bore the burden out of devotion. She found her satisfaction in life in the sounds of her love and kindness to her family and to every person. She would take advantage of every opportunity to be of help at home, to save work for her mother, to ease and improve the difficulties of life. Her inner calmness, kindness, and generosity of Lev, gave grace and grace to her manner and loved her all around her. When the War of Independence broke out she joined the Hagana. Did her duties and persisted in her usual work. On the day of the declaration of the State of Israel and the establishment of the Israel Defense Forces, a full mobilization was enlisted and served in observation and in various service positions in the most dangerous front positions of the Beit Yisrael neighborhood in Jerusalem, which dominates the Arab Sheikh Jarrah. There, on the 22nd of Iyar 5708 (May 31, 1948), she fell on her guard with a shell to her shoulder and was buried in Sheikh Bader A. On the 28th of Elul 5710 (10.9.1950) she was sent to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
