Benny and Rafael. He was born on July 25, 1972 in Ilaniya. When he was about two months old his father died in a road accident. Eyal studied and was educated at the Ramat Hadassah Elementary School in Kiryat Tivon. And continued his studies at the Sharett high school in his hometown of Upper Nazareth. Eyal was drafted into the IDF in late August 1990 and assigned to the General Staff. After basic training and after being trained as a warehouse clerk, he was stationed in the north as a general employee. According to his commander, he was a good and disciplined soldier. On the 16th of Adar I, 1992 (February 20, 1992) Eyal fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Upper Nazareth. Survived by his mother, three sisters – Revital, Perahia and Oshra – and brother Moshe. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “During his service in the unit, Eyal fulfilled all his missions at a high level, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere among his employees and was admired by his friends.” His mother donated to the Brit Shalom Synagogue in Nazareth Illit a Torah library in his memory.
