Abu Yihya, Bahjat


Ben Safieh and Juma. Born on May 25, 1979 in Rahat. Bahjat grew up and was educated in Rahat. He studied at the Omar bin al-Khattab school. After graduating, he worked in various kibbutzim in the chicken coop. Bahjat volunteered for the IDF at the beginning of December 2000. He was trained in the brigade training base of Givati, and was later assigned to serve as a search sergeant in a reconnaissance battalion, whose commanders say he was a good soldier and was very motivated to serve in the army. He said he loved the battalion and was “poisoned.” On November 17, 2001, Bahjat married Azzahar, and the two were about to set up their home in Rahat, but were not able to do so About three weeks after his marriage, on December 5, 2001, Bahjat fell during his service at the age of 22. He was brought to eternal rest in the Rahat cemetery. Symbol. Bahjat is survived by his wife, parents and twenty-two siblings.
