Ben Redana and Sayid. He was born on October 22, 1973 in the Druze village of Yirka. Brother to Samir, Sammy, Wisam, and Monal. He attended elementary and high school in Yarka. Taysir was a boy full of joie de vivre, was well educated and loved by all his extended family members. He was always surrounded by many friends of all ethnic groups, he loved everyone and everyone loved to help when needed and to contribute his knowledge. In March 1992 he joined the Israel Armament Corps, where he completed a tank mechanic course as an outstanding trainee, and served as a tank mechanic in the 7th Brigade in the Golan Heights during his service. He was awarded a certificate of excellence in 1995. In 1995 he completed his compulsory service and continued his career as a weapons examiner and was promoted to the rank of major sergeant. Taysir sought to advance in his position, and at the same time began to study for an academic degree at the Middle East College in Yarka. On May 17, 1997, Taysir married Gada for a woman. They established their home in Yarka and in 1998 their son Wael was born, and a year later their daughter Wyam was born. Taysir’s main hobbies, which he devoted a great deal of time to, were fishing and diving. During his vacations he dived at various sites and was a member of an international diving club – the PADI Club. On July 22, 2002, Taysir was killed in a diving accident in front of the Acre beach and he is twenty-nine years old. He was laid to rest at the cemetery in Yarka. Taysir left behind a wife, son and daughter, parents, three brothers and a sister. Taysir’s father, Sa’id, wrote: “I knew a lot of friends and many sons, and like my friend and son I did not know and did not like it. Taysir’s wife and children write: “The tears did not dry and the eyes are crying / you want to see again / see that precious man / the man who left and will never return.”
