Abu Shah, Qassem

Son of Khazran and Isma’il. Qassem was born in Shfaram on February 11, 1944. He attended elementary school in the village. In his free time he loved playing football. Qassem enlisted in the army like his other Druze friends. On July 7, 1977, he enlisted in the Israel Police and became a researcher, then a traffic policeman. During his service, he demonstrated good ability, and even successfully passed his matriculation exams. He excelled in his courage and leadership ability, and dreamed of a brilliant career in the police. First Sergeant Qassem fell while carrying out his duties on 10.2.1992. Forty-eight years old in his fall. He was laid to rest in a ceremony at the Shfaram cemetery.
