Abu Mar’i, Hassan
Son of Hasina and Salameh. Hassan was born in the Bedouin town of Segev Shalom on April 20, 1963. Was a member of a well-respected family and had many connections with both the immediate and distant surroundings. He grew up and was educated among the tribe, where he studied and graduated with honors. After serving in the IDF as a tracker, Hassan enlisted in the Israel Prison Service in January 1988. He lived with his family in the settlement of Segev Shalom near Be’er Sheva and served in the Eshel prison. Hassan was married to Selma and the father of Zahur, Dor, Manal, Afaf, Nali and Sa’ud. Hassan was loved and widely accepted by his tribe and many friends, both young and old. Was a very dedicated person to his friends and family. He loved sports and especially soccer, and he loved to go out to nature and travel in the southern sand dunes. On Friday, 3 Adar 5755, February 3, 1995, a sergeant was killed in a car accident. He was rushed to Soroka hospital in Be’er Sheva, where he was pronounced dead. Hassan was thirty-two years old when he fell. Survived by a wife and six children
