Abramowitz, Eliezer
Son of Gittel and Jacob, was born on January 10, 1918, in Bacau, Romania, where he studied in an elementary school and worked in a book-cover, and his life was interrupted by the war. Eliezer arrived in Israel as an immigrant in 1946. He settled in Ramatayim and worked as a construction worker, and at the outbreak of the War of Independence he volunteered and served in the Alexandroni Brigade, where he fought in several battles in the Sharon region. He was seriously injured and brought to the hospital, and he lay in the hospital for many days, hoping to overcome his wound and go back to battle, but he was no longer a prisoner of death and died on 26 Elul “H (30/09/1948). He left behind a wife. He was laid-rest at the military cemetery in Netanya.
