Abramovitch, Ijo (Isaac)


Son of Yisrael and Loti. He was born on March 3, 1960 in Brazil, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1964. The family lived in Tel Aviv, where he studied at the Har Nevo Elementary School, the Ironi Tzav High School, and the Geula School in a humane direction. In early August 1978, he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the Nahal Brigade, where he completed his training period, was ordained as a rifleman and specialized as a wireless operator, and he did not succeed in volunteering for the naval commando unit on 21.1.1979. Was sent to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul and left behind his parents and brother in a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “Izzo passed the rookie training for about a month and was ordained as a cabbage. I am sorry I did not get to know him well enough, but his friends testify that he was a quiet guy, very kind and helpful to others as much as he could, obedient and a good soldier. “
