Abramov, Percy (Persido)
Son of Nissim and Rachel. He was born on January 16, 1953 in Jerusalem. He studied at the “Children’s House” in Jerusalem and at the ORT school, where he acquired the electronics profession. Percy, as his friends called him, was a very sociable and active boy. He was a member of the YMCA sports organization and served as a youth counselor for years. He participated in adult table tennis competitions. He liked to swim and sometimes even served as a swimming instructor. He liked to build models of airplanes and ships, and collect stamps and coins, but despite his activities in these hobbies he also found time to help his father in his work. Thanks to his willingness and kindness he has excellent relations with people. He encouraged many of the youth and guided them in the right way to a life of creativity and work, thus preventing them from going back to the path of crime. Due to his virtues, he soon became the spiritual leader of the YMCA. Percy was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in February 1971. In the course of his military service, Persiadu also proved his ability and ability, and was elected as the representative of his unit in the Guard of Honor to the President of Israel at the twenty-fourth Independence Day celebrations. During his service he was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
