Abramov, Edward (Eddie)
Eduard (Eddie), Ben Sarah and Isaac, was born on February 4, 1952, in Jerusalem, He wanted to be an officer, but because he had to join the permanent army for this reason, he refrained from doing so because he wanted to continue his studies and build his future. He was a responsible and dedicated soldier, and during his military service he also enjoyed the qualities he liked about anyone he came into contact with – friends and commanders alike. He received the “Operational Service Award”. After his regular service, Edward planned to set up an electronics factory with his friends, but did not get it. During the Yom Kippur War, Eddie fought on the Golan Heights front in the battle against the Syrians. On the afternoon of the 16th of Tishrei 5740 (October 12, 1973), his tank was hit in Tel-Shams and caught fire and he was killed on the spot. At first he was considered a missing person, but his body was later identified and he was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery.
