Abraham, Yechezkel (Fuad)


Yechezkel, son of Shalom and Attia Abraham, was born on Yom Kippur 5707 (October 5, 1946) in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and immigrated to Israel in 1950. When he was called to the serve on the eve of the Six-Day War, he went out to fulfill his duty to his people and his homeland. On the third day of the battles, 28 Iyar 5727 (7.6.1967), Yechezkel was wounded by shrapnel in a battle that took place west of El Arish. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and later moved to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
