Abraham, Elijah (“Sami”)


Son of Nagy and a meal. He was born on November 30, 1939 in the city of Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. Immigrated to Israel in 1951. After graduating from an elementary school in Ra’anana, he studied at the “New High School” in Tel Aviv and completed his studies there. He showed great love for music. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1959 and after completing his regular army service he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant Eliahu took up his studies to study engineering at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa and, (1.7.1962) and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. After they fell, his parents dedicated a Torah scroll in his memory and put him in the synagogue of the immigrants of Babylon in the village of Ana in the Or Yehuda region. The headquarters of his unit set up a memorial corner in her cultural room and read his name on it. His unit also dedicated a traveling trophy to the table tennis champion.
