Abergil, Aharon


Ben Monica and Jacob. He was born on June 5, 1966, in Kiryat Shmona, to a family of four. Aharon began his studies at the “Tel Hai” elementary school in his hometown. At the age of 12, he moved to the educational framework of Youth Aliyah, in Kibbutz Yiron in the Western Galilee. He found his place in the house of Naomi and Moni Perry and joined the “Tzur” class. He continued his high school studies at the Anne Frank School in Kibbutz Sasa. His friends affectionately called him “Aharanchik”. During this period he belonged to the Bnei HaKibbutzim Brigade in the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement, and played in the soccer and basketball teams of Hapoel Yiron. He loved to dance and perform at festive parties, he loved music, especially Hebrew songs. The caregiver, who accompanied the class in which Aharon studied in high school, wrote about him after they fell: “The eyes of an almond are large, innocent, warm, charming, carefully dressed, always orderly, polite, and so comfortable and pleasant, so special, “He dealt with the youth of the kibbutz in order to be integrated into it, in peace, understanding, patience and tolerance, a beautiful aura of beauty, inner and outer beauty, kindness, fairness, pleasantness and gentleness, always courteous, caring and understanding.” In October 1984, Aharon joined the IDF and served in the elite Golani Brigade, where he underwent basic training and completed a combat training course for combat paramedics, and served as a combat medic in the “Orev” troop in Golani. Aaron returned to his kibbutz, devoted himself to the field of field crops he loved, and specialized in it. At that time he met Neilah, a volunteer girl from England. They fell in love, went to England and there they married. From England they moved to the United States and a year later returned to Kibbutz Yiron. Aaron continued to work in the field crops industry, did well and looked forward to a bright future, as the center of the industry. At the same time, he guided a Nahal nucleus, which he accompanied until his fall, and later parted from his wife, who returned to England and left the farm for a six-month vacation. In the morning of Memorial Day, April 13, 1994, Aharon was killed while on duty in a road accident while on an operational tour of the Gaza Strip. He was twenty-eight years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Kiryat Shmona cemetery. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of Major General, and left behind his parents, two sisters, Yaffa and Jacqueline, and brother Yehuda, in a letter of condolence to his family, Chief of Staff Ehud Barak wrote: “Aharon served as a medic and title by his commanders as a good soldier, Professional, calm, calm, who contributed to others from his experience and professional knowledge. ” The commander of his unit wrote about him in a letter of condolence to his family: “Aharon acted as a combat medic in the ‘Crow’ company, and was known as a modest man who knew how to help and gave his comrades a hand. And a young woman around him, in training and employment, did his job in the best possible way.
