Abergel, Asher-Popper (Mas’ud)
Son of Maimon and Marcel. He was born on September 7, 1956 in Rabat, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1969. He received his elementary education in his hometown of Morocco, and when he immigrated to Israel he continued his studies at the ” Weizman in Herzliya. Afterward, he studied at the ORT school in Herzliya. He was an excellent student. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved vehalomed youth movement and later began to study as an instructor. He was very fond of him and maintained contact with him even after his enlistment in the IDF, who was a sports enthusiast and interested in the various arts, although he could have been discharged from military service. Who was drafted into the IDF in September 1974 and assigned to the Engineering Corps, after completing basic training and after completing a fuel pump mechanic course, was sent to a unit in Sinai. He was a dedicated and loyal soldier for his job, loved and accepted by his comrades and commanders. “On July 16, 1976, Asher fell in El Arish while fulfilling his duties, and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. After him, he was promoted to the rank of corporal.
