Abby, Sharon


Ben Sarah and Joseph. Sharon was born on December 9, 1973. He grew up in Ashkelon. Graduated from the Ort Aviv high school in Ashkelon, in the electrical track. Between 1993 and 1996, Sharon served in the Israel Defense Forces as a fire brigade officer at the Air Force base. He was assessed during his tenure as a leader, helping others, professional and acceptable to his friends. Sharon wanted to enlist in the Israel Prison Service for security, following a recommendation he received, determined to succeed and full of motivation. In March 1998, he was recruited to the Prisons Service as a guard in the 3rd Brigade of the Ayalon Medical Center. In May 1998, Sharon was transferred to the Maasiyahu Prison for the position of foreign prison guard, and in October of that year he was successfully promoted to the rank of sergeant. As a professional, disciplined and independent jailer, he discovers initiatives as well as his friends .In March 2002, Sharon completed a short course of noncommissioned officers and in August he completed a course in escort services. In November 2004, Sharon successfully completed a kashrut certification course in the unit. In June 2005, Sharon began the position of assistant human resources officer and chief of staff at Nitzan. A year later, Sharon was transferred to Ayalon’s post as a sentry sergeant, and was then appointed by the commander of the unit as a disciplinary officer and in charge of the warden’s home, and was sent to a training course with human resources officers in June 2006. In August 2007 he was transferred To the Ketsiot Brigade for the position of Head of Discipline and Assistant to Human Resources Officer. Sharon married Hagit, and had a father to Yosef, Tal and Noam. On January 31, 2008, Sharon was on his way to work in a transport vehicle of the Israel Prison Service from Ashkelon through Tlalim to Ketziot. During the ride the vehicle overturned and all passengers were injured. Sharon was killed on the spot. Sharon was thirty-four years old. He was buried in the police cemetery in Ashkelon. After his fall, Sharon was promoted to the rank of advanced sergeant.
