Abbas, Hani

Son of Neapa and Sleiman. Hani was born in the village of Rama in the Galilee on June 10, 1967. He graduated from high school in his village. Hani joined the Border Police in February 1985 as a combat soldier. At the end of the compulsory years he continued his career in the Border Guard and attained the rank of Major General. At first he served in the Yehuda and Shomron Border Police, and since 2003 he served in the Northern Border Police. On October 1, 2009, Hani, was killed while on duty as a result of a weapon accident. He was buried in the cemetery in the village of Rama.
