Aaron, Yosef

Yosef, son of Malka and Ilan Moshe Aaron, was born in 1960 in Moshav Maor, near Hadera. Yossi was thirteen years old when his father was called up for reserve duty during the Yom Kippur War. In 1982, Yossi and his father both participated in the First Lebanon War. On January 30, 1992 Yossi joined the Israel Police. His first job was in the Taibe police force, in the reconnaissance unit. Over the years, he acquired extensive legal knowledge and he always treated the detainees fairly. Yossi’s colleagues noted that the prisoners respected him very much, and some of them came to his funeral. During his service, Yossi received several certificates of appreciation for his dedicated and professional service. Senior Sergeant Yosef fell in the line of duty on 15 Kislev, November 18, 2013, after having suffered cardiac arrest during his shift at the station. He was fifty-three when he fell. He was laid to rest in the Maor cemetery. He left a wife, two sons and two daughters, a mother and two sisters.
