Aaron, Mordechai

Mordechai Aaron, son of Aaron and Ravashany, was born in Iraq in 1940 and immigrated to Israel in December 1950. He studied at the Nahshon elementary school, completed his studies at the Merom Zion Yeshiva and at the Negev Yeshiva, and then practiced teaching for one year. He joined the IDF in November 1961 and worked in the military rabbinate. On May 22, 1962, he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery of Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
