A farmer, Michal


Daughter of Talia and Michael. Born on July 10, 1975, in Moshav Sde Moshe, Michal was born to her parents, ten years after her brother, who gave birth to a gift to her Holocaust survivor parents and gave them a taste of life. The elementary school “Sprinzak”, and graduated with the orientalism track at the Shalon High School in Kiryat Gat, where many acquaintances say she was a good friend and an honest man, and helping others was the purpose of her life. At the beginning of January 1994, Michal enlisted in the IDF and was assigned to serve as a diagnostician. Her commanders point out that she was a social and professional soldier, and she was above and beyond her duties and was popular with all those around her. On 11 February 1995, while she was on her way home on vacation, Michal was killed by a vehicle driving in front of her. Together with her, she killed her friend, Sean Manson, a volunteer from Britain. Michal fell in her role, before she was twenty years old. She was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Gat. Survived by her parents and three brothers – Ofer, Gili and Ronen. After her death, Michal was promoted to sergeant. A book of poems, written by Michal, was published about two years after her death. The book includes one hundred and sixty poems of about three hundred, written from the age of fourteen to ten days before her death. From the poems arises and emerges from the special image of Michal, who loved life so much and knew that every moment must be exploited and fulfilled to the end.
