קלפה, זאב-אברהם (Coco)
Son of Batya and Levi, he was born on September 25, 1957 in Moshav Yoshiviya in the northern Negev. When he was young, his family moved to Givat Shmuel near Bnei Brak. Zeev grew up in a family with many children. He attended the “Or Yaakov” elementary school in his neighborhood, and after graduating went to work as a garage worker in the area. He quickly learned the mechanics of car mechanics and stood out as a quick and intelligent boy who knew his job and was ready to help the drivers who were in trouble all day and night. Ze’ev was cheerful, loved singing and could play guitar. He easily made friends. In June 1975, Ze’ev enlisted in the IDF, underwent a number of courses as a mechanic and a truck driver. In September 1979 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and began serving in the army in Ophira. A few months later he was diagnosed with a malignant disease. He continued to serve in the IDF during his illness, but was placed in a post that he was able to fill. O 23 Av, August 12, 1982, Zeev died of his illness after seven years of service in the IDF. He was 25 years old when he died. He left behind a wife, a son, parents, seven sisters and three brothers. Ze’ev was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petach Tikva. The commander of his unit wrote to his family: “He served in the army for three years, in which he held various and varied positions, was responsible for taking care of his subordinates and others, and showed initiative, dedication and responsibility in all his duties. Despite his illness, his work was not impaired.”
