Zutschild, Ze’ev
Son of Genia and Eliahu, was born on August 23, 1925, in Danzig (then Poland) and attended an elementary school in the city, and in 1939 he arrived in Israel with his parents and brothers on the Astir. During the Second World War, his father and his two older brothers enlisted, and he helped support the family, and when the War of Independence broke out he served as a guard in Rehovot and was drafted into the Givati Brigade, where he trained in Tel Nof. (28.3.1948) returned from the village of Gedera to Tel Nof, where members of a gang from Maghar caught the school next to the junction and placed an electric mine on the road leading to Tel Nof and operated it when the armored vehicle passed through. At night, the Givati fighters raided the school and blew it up, and the next day the bodies of the burned armored personnel were rescued and brought to rest in the military cemetery in Rehovot.
