Zorea (Zrodinsky), Jonathan (“Yoni”)


Son of Meir and Naomi, members of Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael. He was born on the 17th of March 1946 in Rehovot. In Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael, he completed 12th grade, and after joining the IDF in November 1964 joined the Israel Air Force. Yonatan was in the career army when the Six-Day War broke out and served as a combat pilot. On the first day of his battles, he fell on his plane on the Syrian front on the Golan Heights during an attack on a Damascus airport. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in his kibbutz. After they fell they were promoted to lieutenant. Hakibbutz Hameuchad’s booklet “Who Fell in the War” was mentioned
