Ziv, Lior (Shlomo)

Lior, son of Miriam and David Ziv, was born in Holon in 1983. In March 2002, Lior was drafted into the IDF. There, in his role as a military photographer, he was transformed from an adolescent boy into a serious, responsible man. Lior fell during the Passover holiday, on April 20, 2003, as he was documenting Givati’s activities during an operational activity to locate weapon-smuggling tunnels. He was twenty years old when he died. Lior was buried in the military cemetery in Holon. After his death he was promoted to sergeant. Survived by his parents, sister and brother.
