Zion, Gavriel


Was born in Greece, and from there immigrated to Eretz Israel. During World War II, he enlisted in the British Army and was assigned to the Jewish Fighting Brigade. He fought with the Jewish Brigade on the Sieno front in Italy, and from there he went to Holland. On 10 Nisan, April 11, 1946, he was killed in a car accident and was laid to rest in the Jewish cemetery in Arnhem, Holland. He left a wife. His memory was immortalized in the “Brigade Book”.
