Son of Misha and Reina. He was born on May 4, 1943 in Ottawa, Canada, and immigrated to Israel in 1970. From childhood David received a Jewish-religious education, attended a Jewish primary school and a Jewish high school in Canada, And his first visit to Israel in 1967. He took part in the difficult battles in the Yom Kippur War and continued to serve in the reserves for several months after the end of the war.
