Zauer, Yehuda (Leo)


Son of Tovah and David, was born on the day of Tu B’Av, 5708 (1.8.1928) in the city of Pecz, Hungary. Upon the Nazi occupation of Hungary, he was interned in a concentration camp and was subjected to exhausting work throughout the bloody rule. Upon the liberation of the camp refugees, he hurried to his hometown to ask for the remains of his family. Where he discovered the traces of his two sisters who had emigrated from the city and expected their return. After the meeting with them he wandered to Italy on his way to Palestine and promised his sisters to bring them to Israel after he arrived.
