Zamir, Victor
Victor, the son of Margalit and David Zamir, was born on January 24, 1952 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. In 1958 the family immigrated to Israel. They settled in the Jesse Cohen neighborhood of Holon. Six-year-old Victor began his studies in an elementary school in the city. At the end of his basic studies, Victor continued his professional studies at ORT Holon, where he studied fine mechanics. After successfully completing his studies, Victor enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and served in the Armored Corps as a technical squad of tanks in the 7th Brigade. During his long years of service, Victor proved great ability, devotion and excellence in his work. He married and the couple established their home in Bat Yam, and later moved to Yavne. In 1979, their eldest son Adi was born and in 1985 his son Moshe was born. Victor fell in the line of duty on September 26, 2014. He was buried in the cemetery in Yavne, and left a wife, two sons and two grandchildren, a brother and a sister. Victor is commemorated in the memorial wall at the center of the Intelligence Heritage Center.
