Yifrach, Barak Baruch

Son of Zehava and Shimon. Born on the 21st of Elul, September 3, 1988 in Ma’alot. He was drafted in the army to the Nahal Brigade on November 22, 2006. Barak advanced to the rank of First Sergeant and went to a commanders’ course. As a commander, the concern for the safety and needs of his last soldier preceded his basic needs. At the end of his compulsory service, he continued naturally for a few months of regular service. He was killed in a car accident on the 24th of Adar, March 10, 2010. He was twenty-one and a half years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Ma’alot-Tarshiha cemetery. He was survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He was promoted to sergeant after his death.
