Wizman, Shimon


Son of Ezer and Aisha. He was born in 1938 in the city of Marrakesh, Morocco, where he was a very young man, and he was raised by his father and his family, and immigrated to Israel with his grandparents in 1955. In August 1956, And during the Sinai Campaign he served in the army. He completed a course in the field of oil drilling and worked in “Lapidot” as deputy shift manager. In his free time, he studied in the framework of his education, and during his studies he achieved great achievements in a short time. After his discharge from the army, he occasionally went on reserve duty and was among the veterans of the battalion. Was an exemplary soldier and fulfilled his duties faithfully and devotedly. Before the Six-Day War he was called again to the flag and on the sixth day of his battles he was wounded in the Sinai and two days later, on 12 June 1967, he died of his wounds, leaving a wife and a child. And was later transferred to the cemetery in the Negev.
