Weissman, Avraham (“Avrum”)

Avraham Weissman, son of Yisrael and Rivka, was born in 1945 in Kibbutz Kfar Glickson. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1963 and assigned to the infantry corps. In November 1964 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel. He served in Golani. In the Six Day War, on the 7th of Tevet, (January 8, 1968), his vehicle mounted on a mine and thus he died in the fields of Kibbutz Gesher. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Hibat Zion.
