Weintraub, Yitzhak


Yitzhak Weintraub, son of Tuvia and Miriam, was born on July 12, 1951 in Herzliya. After basic training and after a wireless course, he was sent to a base in Sinai and fought in the Yom Kippur War on the Suez Canal. Every year he was called up for reserve duty in his unit. On the 16th of Shevat (February 4, 1977), Yitzhak fell in the line of duty during an active reserve service in the south of the country. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents and brother.
