Weinbrand, Maxim

Maxim, son of Anna and Igor Weinbrand, was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1988. On December 21, 1990, at the age of two and a half, the family immigrated to Israel. On September 14, 2008, Maxim enlisted in the IDF and underwent basic training at the Zikim base. In 2009, Maxim received a certificate of excellence from the squadron, due to his high professional achievements. Maxim died in a car accident on 11 Nisan, 3.4.2012. He was twenty-four years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Ofakim cemetery. Survived by his parents and brother. He was promoted to sergeant after his death.
