Wahba, Eliyahu


Eliyahu, son of Avraham and Adela Wahba, was born on July 13, 1944 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The family immigrated to Israel in 1957. He attended elementary school and later worked in a factory. He was a sports fan and devoted himself to football and swimming. He was drafted into the IDF in May 1962, and during the Six-Day War, he was killed in a battle in the Golan Heights on the fifth day of the battles. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and later moved to eternal rest in the Holon cemetery.
